Global telecoms value added distributor SACO LLC announced last week that it will enter into a global master distribution agreement with BlackBerry to serve customers in the Americas.

The agreement will see the two organisations join forces to sell and promote the entire BlackBerry portfolio of hardware, software and value added services in North America and Latin America.

This will include the BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Classic mobile devices, known for the trademark keyboard features and large touch screen interfaces, offering users a useful combination of smartphone user preferences. BlackBerry products are also recognised for supporting a large variety of Android apps, with added security capabilities which make the offering particularly suited to the mobile enterprise setting.

Customers and end users that take advantage of this partnership will also have the opportunity to experience the benefits of BES12, BlackBerry's EMM solution, which securely manages smartphones running on all major operating systems and is the foundation of its extensive Enterprise Mobility portfolio.

"BlackBerry is a global leader in mobile security, and we plan to work proactively with them to promote their popular devices, as well as their cross-platform EMM solution. Our lean and dynamic company can make BlackBerry's solutions available to diverse targets more efficiently. We believe that being able to promote both hardware and software together will allow us to reinforce the value of BlackBerry for customers, and will help penetrate new channels for BlackBerry," said Brett Schmulian, CEO of SACO.
