It has been announced that Instaclustr, a high-tech company delivering hosted and managed Apache Cassandra services, is now delivering DataStax Enterprise (DSE) as a managed service in the cloud.

In today's highly-connected online economy, enterprises rely on data to engage customers and overcome problems in bold and innovative new ways. As a member of the DataStax Partner Network, Instaclustr is able to utilize DataStax to power online applications that must remain in an "always-on' state, across a broad range of environments.

Instaclustr delivers a fully-managed service that includes automated deployment, configuration tuning, maintenance and monitoring of Cassandra clusters under management. Instaclustr now provides DSE-as-a-Service on the AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

"We are very excited about this development as DataStax Enterprise provides our customers with an enterprise-ready and battle hardened distribution of Cassandra, hosted and managed by Instaclustr in the cloud," said Doug Stuart, CEO of Instaclustr. "Instaclustr is helping customers across the globe with their Cassandra database infrastructure, and now with the addition of a fully automated DataStax Enterprise capability, we are providing an enterprise-ready distribution of this game-changing technology."

"The demand for Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise continues to grow, as enterprises are increasingly adopting distributed database technology for mission-critical web, mobile and IoT applications," said Matt Rollender, VP of Cloud Strategy, DataStax. "With Instaclustr offering DataStax Enterprise-as-a-service, developers are now provided with an enterprise-ready solution to help them build online applications that require fast performance with zero downtime."

The DataStax Partner Network is intended to increase adoption of DSE, the Apache Cassandra-based database used by more than 500 organisations, including 30% of the Fortune 100. As a Cloud Partner, Instaclustr delivers DSE on hardware as well as cloud solutions.
