It is becoming increasingly evident that the traditional workplace and office environment, with a significant influence from mobile technology, is rapidly shifting towards a much less fixed concept.

The natural progression away from conventional office-based businesses will provide employees with the flexibility to work across a number of devices and platforms, from remote locations and whilst travelling.

This infographic analyses the three components of change in the modern office: the physical workspace, communication capabilities and advancements in new technologies. Offices are now much more focused on interaction via telepresence methods, allowing employees to communicate through a number of innovative methods from various locations. There will be up to an estimated 3.9 million teleworkers in the US by 2016.

The infographic also brings attention to technology which is transforming modern workplace, other than the expected computers, tablets and smartphones, whilst reiterating the importance of BYOD to the future of mobile employees.
