Leveraging Enterprise Mobile Apps Creates Better Healthcare

When it comes to healthcare and care management, most, if not all patients believe those functions rely solely on the clinicians within the doctor’s office or hospital building. But digital transformation is everywhere, and has become omnipresent in the healthcare industry.

Houston Methodist Hospital’s Manager of Application Development, Danny Acuna, knows all about digital and mobile transformation in healthcare, and will be sharing his firsthand experience at the upcoming Enterprise Mobility Exchange: Healthcare event on June 12 and 13 in San Antonio, Texas at the La Cantera Resort & Spa.

Acuna will be speaking at the event in his session, titled, “From Zero To DevOps: Building Mobile Apps To Prevent Health Issues and Recurrence,” focusing on how mobile technology is helping clinicians better serve and care for patients during and after their visits.

Acuna has been behind, and will share with the audience, how Houston Methodist launched kiosks to help patients better navigate the facilities as well as a mobile app that helps patients find a doctor, contact information, and even the best available parking garage on the campus.

The Enterprise Mobility Exchange: Healthcare event will feature a dozen speakers from across the healthcare industry, including Jason Elrod, Chief Information Security Architect with Sutter Health; Rebecca Wynn, Head of Information Security at Matrix Medical Network; Brian Heemsoth, Director of Global Security Innovation at Aetna, and David Krebs, EVP of analyst firm VDC Research among others.

The event will offer times for attendees to network with their peers and meet with onsite solution providers, as well as think tank and round table discussions. To find out more about Enterprise Mobility Exchange: Healthcare, visit the site here.
