Fast Facts: Chatbots Worth Billions In Enterprise Savings

The emergence of chatbots in the enterprise is no surprise, as has been previously reported by Enterprise Mobility Exchange, but a new report released this week says the amount organizations will save by using the technology is in the billions.
Juniper Research forecasts chatbots will be the reason for $8 billion in enterprise cost savings annually by 2022, and financial services and healthcare providers will likely be the biggest beneficiary. The bots will of course become more prevalent as artificial intelligence continues to become a mainstay and powers the use of chatbots. In healthcare, for example, users will be able to interact with chatbots to assess health issues and provide a recommended course of action.
As AI enhances, Juniper says, the success of bot rate interaction – when a session does not end in human interaction – will move from 12% to more than 75% in a half decade, and go even higher, to 90% in that same time frame.
