Leveraging App Performance Data for Deeper Mobile Insights

Leading provider of mobile app experience monitoring platforms, Crittercism, has announced the release of an application that connects data about mobile app code defects and network services errors with Splunk Enterprise.

The new solution enables Crittercism and Splunk customers to gain increased analysis around the variety of factors that can hinder the performance of business-critical mobile apps.

The new programme, when installed into instances of Splunk Enterprise, will allow customers to draw mobile performance data from Crittercism, and automatically generate dashboards within Splunk.

Users can then also correlate Crittercism data with other sources of data within Splunk, search for specific text in crash logs and create custom alerts. As a result, users gain a deeper understanding of mobile app management.

"Splunk is well-known for connecting to all types of data sources and providing users with dashboard options for analysis," said Andrew Levy, Co-Founder and CEO of Crittercism. "For our customers that choose to use Splunk, this initiative will give them added capabilities to manage their mobile application performance."

"With nearly 110million downloads of the Groupon mobile app, Crittercism is essential to our mobile development workflow. Splunk is the nerve centre for our operations. Now through this integration, our entire technical team can access Crittercism's rich mobile insights alongside other data about our technical operations," commented Mike Burton, Director of Mobile Engineering at Groupon.
