For every successful mobile app with a five-star review, there are several other apps that fail. Nearly one in four users will abandon 36% of apps within the first 90 days due to technical complications. The key to preventing abandonment is to conduct high-quality testing of the app's functionality on real devices. In a recent survey, 54% of respondents said that they are testing apps on a daily basis.

However, more testing means more spending. In 2018, 36 percent of organizations are spending over $100,000 on mobile testing, with only a handful of organizations spending less than $25,000. This problem is going to to exacerbate next year, with 79 percent of organizations projected to spend more money on mobile testing in 2019.

In addition, mobile app testing can be time consuming. As businesses quickly adopt DevOps and CI/CD practices to meet rapid demand for flawless apps, QA/Dev managers are experiencing a massive case of 'DevOps Road Rage' today.
