ThreatTrack's VIPRE Endpoint Security To Defend Against Threats Faster

A new edition to the VIPRE family combines advanced behavioural analysis with cloud-enabled Advanced Active Protection to help companies and users defend against unknown threats faster than any other VIPRE product.

ThreatTrack Security recently announced the availability of VIPRE Endpoint Security, a new addition to the VIPRE for Business suite of antivirus solutions. The product delivers small-footprint endpoint protection for businesses, educational institutions, government agencies and organizations of all sizes. It features a newly reengineered anti-malware engine, and VIPRE Endpoint Security enables customers to better combat emerging and unknown threats, sophisticated and evasive malware, and Zero-Day attacks.

In independent tests from AV-Comparatives - a leading global authority on antivirus software performance - the new VIPRE engine ranks highly among the world's top antivirus products with no false positives and a block rate of 99.5%.

"Businesses of all sizes are under constant assault from increasingly sophisticated malware attacks," said ThreatTrack Chief Product Officer Usman Choudhary. "VIPRE Endpoint Security addresses these security challenges with new in-memory behaviour analysis, device control and cloud-augmented protection capabilities. It gives IT admins and security professionals an easy-to-deploy and easy-to-manage endpoint protection solutions they can count on to digitally defend workstations and mobile devices."

A combination of advanced protection capabilities and enterprise-class features, VIPRE Endpoint Security delivers multiple layers of malware defence in a single solution that’s easy to manage and deploy. The solution offers powerful antivirus and anti-spyware technologies, Mobile Device Management (MDM), integrated patch management, anti-phishing and email security, malicious URL blocking, a firewall and more.

The product’s defences include:

Advanced Active Protection

Greater insight into new and emerging threats is provided through the Advanced Active Protection feature, which monitors and records both current and new processes using a heuristic approach that reveals malicious behaviour. Over time, VIPRE Endpoint Security learns from each operation to provide even faster, more precise protection.

Removable Device Control and Encryption

IT administrators can exert control over which device types and ports can be accessed by individuals and groups, greatly reducing the risk of sensitive data falling into the wrong hands or malware being introduced into corporate networks. Encryption of data written to removable devices is easily enforced, providing added levels of security.

Browser-Based Protection

Protection for browser-based threats actively identifies infected Web traffic and blocks malicious URLs, delivering greater levels of protection against web-based exploits.

ThreatTrack also recently released versions 9.3 of its centrally managed VIPRE Business Premium and VIPRE Antivirus Business endpoint protection solutions and the new VIPRE engine powers both solutions.
