Ready or not, the business landscape must be prepared for the Internet of Things (IoT). Enterprise adoption of machine-to-machine connectivity has significantly increased during these past few years, especially since the technology has become a major component within digital transformation. Across all sectors, businesses are leveraging IoT and achieving great success.

However, in order to take advantage of IoT, enterprises must first be prepared for it. In a 2018 poll conducted by Enterprise Mobility Exchange, respondents were asked if they were prepared for IoT. Only 26% said they were prepared, while 74% said that they were not.
