TVH Deploys Solutions Across Europe to Harnesses the Power of Mobilising Employees

Belgium’s market leader in replacement parts and accessories for material handling, industrial and agricultural equipment, launched a major company-wide initiative focused on Enterprise Mobility in 2011, named ‘TVH Goes Mobile’.
This focused on establishing a long-term strategy for EMM within the organisation, providing employees with a choice of their mobile devices through a BYOD policy, which included encouraging the use of devices running iOS and Android, rather than corporate-issued Blackberry phones.
Fast-forward to today, TVH now secures and manages hundreds of iOS and Android devices, as well as both custom-developed and third-party mobile apps, using the MobileIron platform.
"We realised early on that we would need a powerful ally to accomplish our aggressive mobility goals. We needed a solution that would allow us to move beyond device management to security for applications and content," said Kalman Tiboldi, Chief Business Innovation Officer at TVH, who will be speaking at Enterprise Mobility Exchange, Europe this year. "It was clear that MobileIron and reseller MOBCO truly understand how to make companies successful with mobile."
The organisation used MobileIron to introduce a BYOD policy which let employees choose their own mobile devices, lowering IT costs, improving satisfaction levels and consequently raising productivity. Security was also improved with this approach, as each employee within the system was automatically given a role-based security profile to secure the personal devices in use.
Additionally, TVH introduced a corporate app store, featuring a wide range of custom-developed and third-party mobile apps to enable employees to work more efficiently and comfortably. Powered by MobileIron, employees can now easily download apps for email, calendar, collaboration, and job-specific tasks, which in turn gives the organisation real-time insight into its workforce’s delivery to customers.
"About 85% of our daily activity as a company involves the Internet, so developing more mobile apps is a top priority for us," continued Tiboldi. "MobileIron supports our app strategy by providing us with the technology foundation for a secure company app store with the ability to push apps out to employees automatically."
This prioritisation directly aligns with recent Enterprise Mobility Exchange research, which identified mobile applications as the top planned investment area for mobile practitioners moving into 2015.
Finally, as more TVH employees and guests continue to connect their mobile devices to TVH’s corporate network, there is confidence that its data will remain secure and protected. This is due to Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), which has integrated with MobileIron to recognise employee devices and assign network permissions on an individual basis. This is crucial as security is also a high priority for any mobile organisation, as is ensuring seamless mobile access for all employees and partners.
