Mobilising Mission-Critical Enterprise Apps to Enhance Collaboration and Communication
Champion Solutions Group, a cloud technology solutions provider, has announced the acquisition of fellow cloud specialist allAware this week, for an undisclosed amount.
Champion has announced that this acquisition will allow it to expand its Microsoft Cloud capabilities outside of the Office 365 space, as allAware is renowned for developing Microsoft mobile apps for use in the enterprise and in professional settings.
Champion plans to combine its intellectual property and workforce with allAware's resources, in an attempt to improve its skills in application development, Microsoft's Enterprise Mobility Suite and Microsoft Azure practices to meet clients' growing demands.
As a result of the acquisition, Champion will inherit a cloud-based, message-oriented middleware product for mobile app development, as well as a private instant messaging app, a cloud-based app to monitor server health and performance, and a web app that synchronises with a Windows desktop app, which will enables users to store and organise emergency data.
"This acquisition helps us move beyond the IT pros to the line of business buyers who want to utilise mobility to enhance collaboration and communication," said Chris Pyle, CEO of Champion Solutions Group.
Surprisingly, up to 75% of Champion's enterprise and mid-market customers have reportedly not moved mission-critical apps to mobile devices as of yet, due to a variety of reasons.
"It's easy to download a mobile app. The difficult part is taking a mission-critical enterprise app and mobilising it," added Pyle, signifying Champion's intentions to help enterprises with their challenges in make such a transition.
