New Crowdsourcing Community is a Powerful Channel for Delivering Enterprise iOS Apps
Global services and enterprise crowdsourcing company Appirio has announced the launch of AppXpress, a new marketplace for businesses to build effective iOS mobile apps using a global crowdsourcing community of over 750,000 developers, designers and UI/UX experts.
Appirio has created the iOS-focused AppXpress marketplace in an attempt to give companies of any size a quicker and easier way to leverage the specialised talent needed to create quality mobile experiences for their customers, employees and partners.
"Appirio's investment in AppXpress and iOS mobile application development is a strategic move towards becoming the go-to supplier for all iOS development needs," said Chris Barbin, CEO of Appirio. "Whether it's a customer looking to build an app, a company looking for a mobility partner, a software vendor looking to integrate with other apps, or an individual developer looking to learn iOS skills through our top coder community, we want them to think of Appirio and how a global crowdsourcing community and platform can help them achieve their goals."
AppXpress will function as a self-service solution, walking customers through the initial and most critical stages of the mobile application development process. It will take a customer's idea for a mobile app and within days or weeks convert it into a viable design mockup or clickable prototype, to see how an app will look and feel before moving on to full production.
It will use the Appirio Services Platform and competition-based crowdsourcing to guide a customer through the process, delivering multiple options so the best ideas rise to the top, and the customer will only pay for the results they use.
As one of the leading consumer-friendly platforms, iOS offers a valuable foundation for businesses of all sizes to benefit from Enterprise Mobility. According to Statista, more than 75billion apps were downloaded from the Apple App Store as of last summer.
However, of that staggering figure, only 10% were business related. AppXpress will aim to close that gap by offering a tool that addresses the lack of development skills and resources required to create personalised business apps for iOS. It will do this by bringing together the strongest iOS application development minds to compete for solutions to even the most difficult business problems.
"We're currently engaged with AppXpress for our Apple Watch design, which will focus on presenting the most important information regarding flight information, flight updates, and travel itinerary," said Robert Basha, Founder of TakeOff360. "AppXpress enabled us to have a fully functional design to go with our goal of creating an easy experience for our users, to quickly view important information while on the go."
