‘Flourishing’ Mobile Virtualization Market Value To Double In 5 Years
As the mobile device industry continues to grow at an exponential rate, forecasters believe the virtualization market will see an incredible gain in value, more than doubling its worth in the next half decade.
According to a new report by MarketsAndMarkets, the mobile virtualization market is estimated to grow from $2.16 billion in 2016 to $5.68 billion in 2021. The reasons for such growth are the increasing need to isolate personal and work data, flourishing mobile industry, and high level of security and robustness to mobile applications, the report said.
The overall growth will see a 21.3% CAGR, as the market has been segmented into hypervisor, application containers, and mobile data management. Of those, application containers will grow at the highest CAGR, the report said, because they require less processing and storage than virtual machines.
The report also cites mid-sized enterprises will account for the largest contributor to the market’s growth, while geographically North America will take on the biggest role in the forecast period.
