No digital transformation is complete without mobile innovation. In order for an enterprise to be positioned for digital transformation success, mobility must be prioritized. Unfortunately, many organizations are struggling to deliver on the promise of mobile.

In a recent survey of 200 digital leaders, 84% of respondents said they were behind the 8-ball when it came to using mobile to support business goals. Meanwhile, 62% of those same digital leaders rated their enterprise’s digital transformation as mature. This survey reveals a fundamental misunderstanding of how crucial mobile is to a mature digital transformation strategy.

As enterprises struggle to innovate in mobility, they are shelving mobile aspirations. Nearly half of the digital leaders abandoned mobile apps during the past 48 months. Enterprises are facing numerous challenges as they move forward with digital transformation, and the most popular solution is to simply throw more money at the problem. Instead of spending more money, enterprises should develop better mobility strategies.
