In the fast-paced IT industry, new statistics and data are released daily. Each week, Enterprise Mobility Exchange publishes Fast Facts, taking a look at interesting or noteworthy information impacting businesses.

Enterprise are now mobile, which means management of devices is essential. According to a new report from Strategy Analytics, the Enterprise Mobility Management market is showing solid year-over-year growth at 9% annually, rising from $1.8 billion in 2017 to $2.2 billion in just a half decade, the year 2022.

But a shift is coming to the EMM market, Strategy Analytics says.

“EMM platforms are evolving from tactical device management tools to broader unified end-user computing management (UEM) platforms, crossing mobile devices, apps, and data, as well as traditional computing platforms such as laptops and PCs,” the firm said. “As mobility grows in the enterprise, EMM solutions will become centralized control points for how employees and devices connect to enterprsie data and IT resources.”

There’s no hiding the importance of enterprise mobility management, no matter what stage of the journey an enterprise is in.
